In 1987 the voters of Medina County approved the Anti-Drug Levy to fund "Anti-Drug Enforcement and Related Education and Treatment Services." The Anti-Drug Levy is a five year property tax levy last approved in November 2010. For $9.95 a year on a $100,000 property valuation Medina County is a safer and healthier place to live.

Anti-Drug Levy Funding
The MCDAC website offers information about the 17 Anti-Drug Levy grant funded enforcement, prevention and treatment programs. Links to various websites for more information on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs can be accessed at ATOD.
Medina County Wellness Mascot
Drug Prevention Specialists work closely with administration and teachers in all the Medina County school districts to present up-to-date information to students on the harmfulness of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs to the brain and the body.
Medina County Drug Task Force is funded to investigate and arrest those persons involved in any type or amount of drug trafficking, drug cultivation, drug manufacturing or patterned prescription drug abuse and to dismantle identified drug networks.

Medical Marijuana may be on the November 2013 ballot in Ohio. Be informed about the ballot initiatives.
Marijuana should be subject to the same research, consideration, and study as any other potential medicine under the standards of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Legalizing marijuana for medical use should not be decided by legislative or voter intiative. CLICK HERE
