The Medina County Drug Abuse Commission was established by the Board of Medina County Commissioners for the purpose of assisting the Commissioners in the development, coordination, and direction of an effective countywide anti-drug program.
The Drug Abuse Commission is comprised of a Representative and an Alternate who are approved by the Medina County Board of Commissioners. The members represent the City of Brunswick, Medina County Villages, City of Medina, Medina County School Districts, Medina County Townships, Medina County Commissioners, City of Wadsworth and the Police Chiefs Association. Terms are for two years and terms are renewable.

The meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, except September (second Monday). The Commission does not meet in January, July or August.

The Medina County Drug Abuse Commission serves to prevent the negative effects of drug abuse by providing funding for and monitoring of education, drug enforcement and treatment programs.
